It's Official, the Revision 2 Model of the AmmoBot Auto Drive for the Dillon 1050 is Live!

Posted by Jason Pruett on

After months of work and countless hours making revisions, changes and updates, we have finally released our newest version of the AmmoBot Auto Drive for the Dillon 1050.  Even though the retail price on this machine is a little higher than the previous version, it definitely earns every penny.  Here's what we have done to make our product even better that before:

  • The drive box contains better circuitry and a larger screen.  We know you want to know as much as possible about what is going on when you are loading with our machines.  We have increased the size of the display so we can do things like keep the last round count and speed on the screen even while displaying a halt description.  We are also able to be more descriptive in our messages to the user because we have more space to do it.
  • We have added a rotary limit switch to the machine.  New Revision 2 AmmoBots contain a sensor that is attached to the main shaft of the Dillon 1050 with a coupler.  This gives us feedback if the shaft stops rotating while the machine is running.  That means no more of the dreaded high-speed reverses when a jam occurs.  As always, there's no need for clutches of any kind.
  • We have a new, extensible communications interface.  We know you want to be able to add extra bells and whistles to your reloading machines.  We want to be able to provide you with those as well.  We felt that the best way to do that would be to provide a robust, electronically stable communications interface to the AmmoBot, so it can actually "talk" to the accessories or upgrades we offer in the near future.
  • We now have an external USB interface on the controller.  Gone are the days of opening the controller when performing a software update.  Just pull the cap on the USB port and run the update program.  It's that easy.

As always, we will continue to provide you with the most electronically stable, worry free system that can be provided.  We don't want you to have to deal with trying to diagnose pesky interference issues.  We want you to be up and running right out of the box.

Thanks to all of our fans and customers for providing the feedback necessary for these kinds of product improvements.
